Adi Yadoni studied Fine Art at LASALLE College of the Arts, Singapore, and the University of Western Sydney, Australia. A multidisciplinary artist, he works comfortably across various mediums, with accolades including the IBM Art Award and the Philip Morris Art Award. His works have been exhibited widely both locally and internationally.
As a filmmaker, Adi’s practice spans narrative films, documentaries, social drama TV series, and music videos. His critically acclaimed documentary Reflections of the Misunderstood Mat Rockers (2002) was the first Singaporean documentary to be selected for the main programme of the Singapore International Film Festival, later travelling to film festivals across Asia and Europe. His docu-series HILANG (2023), which explores lost traditions, cultures, and heritage, won Best Documentary Series and Best Writing at Mediacorp’s Pesta Perdana Awards. His telemovie BELAIAN (2025), centered on postpartum struggles among men, was screened at the Moscow Asian Film Festival 2025 and the Mental Health Warrior Film Festival. Adi lives and works in Singapore. |
